Purdy elected to UPEA board
ISHPEMING Civil Engineer Timothy S. Purdy was recently elected to the U.P. Engineers & Architects Inc. Board of Directors.
He was elected to the board by the company’s stockholders during its annual stockholder meeting. UPEA is owned by its employees.
Purdy joined UPEA in 2005 as a project manager focused on business development and managing larger projects. Prior to joining UPEA, Purdy spent 23 years managing projects for major construction companies throughout the U.S.
Purdy has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering and a bachelor’s degree in land surveying from Michigan Tech University and an associate’s degree in forestry from Paul Smith’s College in upstate New York.
Purdy lives in Houghton with his wife Lora and their three children, Ryall, Bayleigh and Marleigh.
In addition to Houghton, UPEA has offices in Iron Mountain, Ishpeming, Sault Ste. Marie, and Marinette, Wis.
