Lifeguard services end Monday
MARQUETTE – Regular waterfront lifeguard service at the city of Marquette’s beaches will end at 7 p.m. Monday. “No lifeguard on duty” signs will be posted on the beaches Tuesday. Depending on weather and personnel availability, lifeguards may be posted on September weekends.
During September, the Marquette City Fire Department will continue to post beachfront advisory flags, although swimmers are reminded to enter the water at their own risk.
Beach flags are updated daily and can be viewed on the city’s website at www.mqtcty.org by clicking on the waterfront safety tab on the left.
