Oldtimers set to play in Gwinn
GWINN – The series lead will be on the line when Negaunee travels to Gwinn Wednesday for an oldtimers softball game set for 4 p.m.
The teams are tied, 3-3, after Negaunee overcame a heavy rainstorm and a Gwinn rally in the bottom of the seventh inning last year to eke out an 8-5 win.
Led by team player-manager Jim Ghiardi, the Gwinn squad features players from the old Jack’s Hideaway and Peterson’s Restaurant teams.
Bobby Snell, residing in the state of Washington, is scheduled to pitch for Gwinn while home on vacation.
