Wall repair bids on MAPS agenda

MARQUETTE – The Marquette school board tonight is scheduled to will consider bids for replacing part of the brick wall that fell off the exterior of the Marquette Senior High School earlier this year.

The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. in the MSHS library.

The low bid came in from Closner Construction at $29,700 and is being recommended for acceptance by architecture and design firm Integrated Designs Inc.

A portion of the wall fell off in March, landing on four staff vehicles parked next to the building.

Two of the vehicles were totaled as a result of the wall’s collapse.
