Mona (Reynard) Gordon
GREEN BAY, WI, – Mona (Reynard) Gordon, 48, of Green Bay and formerly of Negaunee, passed away unexpectedly after suffering an apparent heart attack while visiting her mother in Rhinelander, WI on Saturday morning, July 19, 2014.
Mona was born November 14, 1965, the daughter of Linda Stanaway, formerly of Negaunee and Frank Reynard of Green Bay.
Mona was a 1983 graduate of Negaunee High School and attended Northern Michigan University. While attending school she was employed as a Home Health Care Aide for Marquette General Home Health. In 2001 she married Andrew Gordon and relocated to Richmond, Virginia for several years. They then moved abroad and resided in Rubgy, England for seven years. In 2010 she moved back to the States and moved to Green Bay where she most recently lived. She was employed with United Health Care of Wisconsin.
Mona will be remembered for her positive and inspiring personality. She was a mentor and a teacher to her many friends. She will be remembered for her quick wit and humor as well as her infectious smile. She touched many lives during her short journey here on earth. Because of her positive attitude and beliefs we are better friends and family for having had her as part of our lives. Mona loved traveling, being with family and friends, good quotes, beautiful sunsets, glamping at mom’s, social networking and SuperSoul Sundays. She will be sadly missed.
Mona is survived by her husband, Andrew Gordon of England; Mother, Linda Stanaway and her companion Al Sache of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; father, Frank (Janice) Reynard of Green Bay; Brothers, Jimmer (Angi) Cox of Ishpeming and Billy Jo (Sarah) Cox of Marquette; Step-brother, Dan (Vicki) Reynard and Step-sister, Julie Badget of Green Bay Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by some very special people: Kenneth Stanaway, James Cox and Lisa Holmgren.
Honarary pallbearers are Debbie Filizetti, Cheryl Renfors, Jill Howard, Paula Warner, April Stagliano and Kathleen Kennedy.
Join family and friends for a Celebration of Mona’s Life which will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2:00-5:00 at the Negaunee VFW. A short memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery at a later date.
