Brandi Lynn Nelson
ISHPEMING, MI. – Brandi Lynn Nelson, age 40 of 446 E. Street Ishpeming passed away Saturday August 2, 2014 at the Mather Nursing Center while under the loving care of her family, her fiance Josh, and U.P. Home Health & Hospice.
Brandi was born June 27, 1974 in Ishpeming to Sandra (Coty) Nelson and the late Richard P. Nelson. She graduated from Westwood High School, class of 1992. Brandi enjoyed camping and jet skiing and she had a love for animals especially her dog Keria. Brandi had a big heart always opening her home to anyone who needed a place to stay. She loved to shop and decorate her home for holidays.
Brandi is survived by her mother Sandra (fiance Ken Pringle) Nelson of Gladstone, her fiance Josh Aho of Ishpeming, 2 sisters: Kim M. (Gail Schmidt) Nelson and Trudy A. (Alvin) Chambers both of Green Bay, 2 nephews Justin & Jordan Chambers, a niece Angela Jarvi, aunts & uncles: Bonnie (Joan Verheyden) Nelson of Ishpeming, Norma (James) Belmore of Marquette, Mary Lou (Sherwood) Morcom of Ishpeming, Kay (Reuben) Ollila of Ishpeming, John (Genevieve) Nelson of Ishpeming, Jim (Joan) Nelson of Ishpeming Ken (Shirley) Nelson of Marquette and Michael (Doreen) Nelson of Marquette, numerous cousins including: Rene’ (Marc) Himes, Jacqueline (Percy) Dales, Amy (Brandon) Boesl, Eric (Natalie) Dawe, Braiden Nelson, Bradley Nelson, Talia (Todd) Wunder. Brandi was preceded in death by her father Richard P. Nelson., grandparents: Henry & Violet Coty, Evelyn & William Nelson, cousin James Nelson and special friend Rob Melka
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00pm, Wednesday August 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. Inurnment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
Brandi’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 2:00pm until the time of service at 4:00pm
Pallbearers will be Alvin, Jordan, Justin Chambers, Josh Aho, Jeff Hamel and Jeremy Aho.
