Jean N. Clatterbuck
OMAHA, NE. – Apr 14, 1927 Jul 28, 2014 Jean Nelson Clatterbuck, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 28, 2014 in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was born on April 14, 1927, in Escanaba, Michigan, to Arthur and Hannah (Olson) Nelson. Jean was a 1945 graduate of Graveraet High School in Marquette, Michigan, and attended Northern Michigan University before joining her father’s logging business. She and Dale D. Clatterbuck married in Denver but after 3 years moved to Omaha, where Dale was employed in the livestock business. Two sons were born to the union in 1954 and 1956. From 1969 to 2007, employment took them to the central Nebraska towns of McCook, Gothenburg, and Lexington. They returned to Omaha in 2007 to be near family.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pauline Krieg; brothers-in-law, Ed Baldinelli and James Balmes; many Clatterbuck relatives.
She is survived by husband, Dale D. Clatterbuck; sons, Gary Clatterbuck (Debi) and Glen Clatterbuck (Lois); sisters, Kathleen Baldinelli and Marjorie Balmes; brother-in-law, Richard Krieg; sisters-in-law, Nancy Clatterbuck and Karen Clatterbuck; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
MEMORIAL SERVICE and Time of Sharing will be held on Saturday, August 2 at 11am at Fountain View Senior Living Center, 5710 S. 108 St. in Omaha. Private Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials to First United Methodist Church, 201 East 8th St., Lexington, Nebraska 68850.
