Reppart sinks hole-in-one

GWINN – John L. Reppart traveled quite a distance to post his first career hole-in-one.

The downstate Berrien Springs resident aced the par-3, 173-yard 17th hole Thursday at Red Fox Run in Gwinn. He used a 3-wood.

Reppart has been a high school golf coach for 25 years, but had never aced a hole, Red Fox Run golf pro Dennis Kargela said.

Witnessing the feat were Ed Clark, Dean Shembarger and Gregg Tolliver.

“It’s the secord ace in the last six days and the third of the year here,” Kargela said.
