Marquette police car involved in crash
MARQUETTE – A Marquette City Police patrol vehicle was involved in a personal injury traffic crash with another vehicle Saturday.
Police said the crash between the patrol car and another vehicle occurred at about 11:35 p.m. at the corner of North Fourth Street and West Hewitt Avenue. Police did not release names of those involved in the incident.
In a news release, city police said the police car was traveling south on Fourth Street and the second vehicle was headed east on Hewitt Avenue when the vehicles collided. Police said both drivers were treated at Marquette General Hospital. No additional condition report information was provided.
The crash was investigated by Michigan State Police troopers. The Marquette Fire Department and Marquette General EMS assisted at the scene.
