Food preservation workshops held
MARQUETTE – MSU Extension will present food preservation workshops focusing on water bath canning, pressure canning, dehydration, and freezing at the new Marquette Food Co-op, 502 W. Washington St., Marquette.
Each workshop will be 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sessions will include July 17, water bath canning jam, and dehydration, Aug. 14, pressure canning and dehydrating vegetables and Sept. 25, pressure canning fish and meats.
There is no cost to participants to attend, but space is limited. Sessions include preparation and canning of foods, canning recipes, nutrition information, and door prizes.
