UPSET nets six suspects across Upper Peninsula
MARQUETTE – The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested six people in four different incidents Monday.
According to an UPSET press release, detectives arrested a 22-year-old Grand Marais man for delivery of marijuana; he was lodged at the Schoolcraft County Jail.
Police arrested a 63-year-old man from Ishpeming on two counts of delivering morphine; he was lodged at the Marquette County Jail.
A 24-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, both from Escanaba, were arrested and lodged at the Delta County Jail on two counts each of delivery of Suboxone.
And in Iron Mountain authorities arrested a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from Laona, Wis., for purchasing/attempting to purchase more than nine grams of pseudoephedrine in a 30-day period; they were lodged at the Dickinson County Jail.
UPSET was assisted in the arrests by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Michigan State Police post in Negaunee, Escanaba Public Safety and the Iron Mountain post of MSP.
