The Marquette Citizens for City Lakeshore Preservation will hold a petition-signing meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. June 25 at the Commons, 112 S. Third St., not at 8 p.m. at stated in Sunday’s Mining Journal. The petition’s goal is to put two city ordinances before voters in the Nov. 4 election prohibiting private development of structures on city-owned lakeshores and beaches in perpetuity and mandating structures and facilities on city-owned property east of Lakeshore Boulevard or Lake Street are for public use only in perpetuity.
