William D. Juchemich

NEGAUNEE, MI. – William Don ‘Bill’ Juchemich, 62, longtime Negaunee resident and most recently of Gladstone, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Negaunee.

Bill was born June 25, 1951 in Negaunee to Edward and Marie (Johns) Juchemich and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1969. He attended trade school forelectronics in Plainwell, MI and was employed with Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. as an electrical repairman. Bill retired in 2006 with 32 years of service with CCI.

Mr. Juchemich was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone and also the Delta Alano Club in Gladstone. He was a former member for many years of the Negaunee Township Fire Department. In his freetime he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He also loved boating on Lake Superior.

Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Joan M. (Roberts) Juchemich; his son, William (Ashley Bartle) Juchemich of Negaunee; 2 daughters: Sharon and Tanya Juchemich, both of Negaunee; 8 grandchildren: Tara (Nate), Josh (Lilly), Trevor, Jessica, Bubba, Mikey, Megan and Hank; 2 great-grandchildren: Duke and Adelynn; a brother, Glenn Juchemich of Marquette; a sister, Carol (Ray) Perrault of Ishpeming; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Timmy and Dale; and 2 sisters: Diane and Marlene.

A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at a later date in Gladstone.
