Crossfit 906 turns back Martin Sports Apparel

In Class A, Crossfit 906 dumped Martin Sports Apparel, 17-10, behind four hits by Kim Koski (homer), and three each by Ashley Martin, Lizzy Dauphinais VanBuren and Jayda Johnson.

For the losers, Mary Halonen (homer), Martha Sturos (triple) and Kristin Daavettila all went 3-for-4.

Molly Wales went 7-for-7 with an over-the-fence home run as UP Home Health pounded Rookie’s Too/Quality Car Care, 42-15.

Brandi Petrocik and Doni Hernandez both went 3-for-4 for the losers.

UP Off Road & Performance defeated Venice I, 16-11, as Charissa Johnson went 4-for-4 with two triples. Teammate Jessica Collins added three safeties, including a round tripper.

Niki Pfluger smacked a triple among her two hits for Venice I.

Jesse Rosten and Amy Barnes hit homers as Sister’s bounced Jasper Ridge I, 15-8.

Buck’s Party Store drubbed Jubilee Foods, 22-7, as both Mary Niemi and Shannon Clemo went 3-for-4. For Jubilee Foods, Sheri Wooden and Loretta Waananen recorded three hits apiece.

In Class B action, Jack’s TeePee routed Fox Negaunee, 21-4.

Cliffs Natural Resources outlasted Signs Unlimited, 24-21, behind a 5-for-5 plate performance by Cassy Sandberg. Nikki Schultz added two home runs, while Cliffs teammates Jessica Syrjala and Julie Boule’ hit one apiece.

For Signs Unlimited, Shelly Mallay (four) and Jess Koski (three) combined for seven hits.

Lisa Niemi and Maria Stanaway (double) posted three safeties each to lead Paradise to a 14-7 victory over Hickey’s, despite three hits – including a homer – by Jen Laurila.

Pasquali’s clubbed Jasper Ridge II, 28-12, as Nicki Frisk turned in four hits, including a pair of doubles. Teammate Denise Bannan contributed three hits.

Liz Valela smacked a triple and Diana Sundberg a double for Jasper II.

Jamee Gobert (triple) and Shelley Roose recorded four hits each as Dave’s Collision stopped Red Rock Lanes, 18-12.

For Red Rock, Rachel Scott hit a pair of triples, while Stephanie Perry added a three-bagger.

In Class C, Janelle Buttery and Jessica Nault both went 3-for-3 as the Eagles beat Creative Industries, 13-6. Tara Card recorded three hits and Kari Roade two for the losers.

Eastwood drubbed Palomaki Family Chiropractic, 21-5. Ellen Sundberg belted a homer, and Sandy Waara and Kristin Murray doubles, for Eastwood.

Joanna Smail (two doubles).Michelle Gray (triple), Christine Larson (triple), Shana Caliguri (three doubles) and Jamie Caliguri (three doubles) all went 4-for-4 to power Chapper’s past Xccelerated Fitness, 34-0.

Amy Young posted two hits for the losers.

Rookie’s beat Venice II, 11-3, as Colie Bell (four) and Dini Peterson (three) combined for seven hits.

Val Prusi smacked a pair of homers as UP Fabricating clobbered Willey’s Tire Shop, 17-2, though Peggy Rochefort had two hits for Willey’s.

Wooden Nickel trimmed Martin Sports Apparel II, 7-6, behind five RBIs by Kathy Zyble. She and teammate Danielle Hardy hit triples.
