White Pine man extradited from Ohio on meth charges

BESSEMER- An Ontonagon man who fled Gogebic County is now in custody in the Gogebic County Jail following his extradition from Ohio on a methamphetamine charge.

According to a press release issued by police, Jeremy Todd Rollins, 37, from White Pine, was arrested June 2 in Dayton, Ohio and brought back to the Upper Peninsula by troopers from the Michigan State Police Wakefield Post.

Police said troopers conducted an investigation for several months, during which time Rollins allegedly purchased components used to manufacture methamphetamine on several occasions. An arrest warrant was issued March 19, charging Rollins with operating/maintaining a laboratory involving meth.

Rollins was arraigned Tuesday in Gogebic County District Court. His next court date has not yet been scheduled.

Police said Rollins is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

The Michigan Department of Human Services assisted in the investigation.
