NMU Kids, Tween camps set

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University Recreational Sports will hold a Wildcat Kids and Tween Camp open house from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Wildcat Room at the Berry Events Center.

The open house gives parents an opportunity to meet camp staff, tour the new kids camp space, complete online registration and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

Wildcat Kids Camp is a traditional summer camp for children 5 years old through fifth grade. Each week has numerous activities including games, crafts, swimming, skating, climbing, special events and outdoor adventures. Cost is $140 for the five-day week from 6:45 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with a $35 daily rate or $25 for a half-day.

Wildcat Tween Camp provides children a chance to learn life skills, make friends, develop character and discover new interests. Activities include swimming, sports games, crafts, outdoor adventures, climbing wall, ice skating, kayaking in the pool, team building initiatives. Cost is $140 for the five-day week or $35 daily.

Each camp begins on Wednesday, June 11, and runs through Friday, Aug. 22.
