Stuart E. Bouley
GWINN, MI. – Stuart E. Bouley, age 89, passed away on April 20, 2013 while at his home on Noreen Lake Drive.
He is survived by his two daughters Renee Johnson and Sherry Miller-vonSKynell, his three grandchildren, Danny Johnson, Kevin Johnson, and Greg Miller (Kelly), his brother David Bouley (Wynne) and his sister Shirley Linne (Reino).
Stuart, son of Ernest and Dorothy Bouley, grew up in Champion, Michigan and joined the US Army Air Corps on June 11, 1942. He was dedicated to our country with his service in WWII and received a Purple Heart and Air Medal.
As part of the Normandy – Air Offensive as T SGT, his plane was shot down over the Netherlands. He spent ten months in the underground before he was honorably discharged on September 19, 1945. His daughter Sherry works for the VA as an RN caring for Veterans. His two grandchildren Danny and Kevin have followed his military steps in serving our country. His grandson Greg did an Internship at the Library of Congress in Washington DC, which included investigating WWII, and traveling to Nuremberg for a summer research project.
In honor of Stuart Bouley’s service to our country, graveside funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery.
