Robert ‘Bob’ Beauparlant
MARQUETTE, MI. – Robert “Bob” Beauparlant, 90, died on May 7, 2014, at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette, MI. He had been a resident since 2006.
Bob was born on May 5, 1924, in Iron Mountain, MI, the son of Clara (Allard) and Wilfred Beauparlant. Soon after, he moved to Menominee and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1941. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, being honorably discharged in 1946. He married Margaret Quick in 1947. He married Beverly Brault in 1976. He worked his entire life at Ansul Chemical Company, retiring in 1986. Bob was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed golfing and spending winters in Orange Beach, AL.
Bob is survived by his children Mary (John) Bestul of Waupun, WI; Kathleen (John) Shaw of Renton, WA; John, serving with the Peace Corp in Armenia: and Jane (Robert) Hutchens of Gwinn, MI. He is also survived by step-children: Terry (Debbie) Brault of Green Bay, WI; Tom (Vicki) Brault of DePere, WI; Tim Brault of Sun Prairie, WI; Todd (Wendy) Brault of Menominee, MI; Ted (Kathy) Brault of Richfield, MN, and Luanne (Jon) Brault of Plymouth, MN. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step- grandchildren as well as step-great grandchildren. A sister Marilyn Hebert of Menominee, MI also survives him along with many other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Beverly in 2006, and brother-in-law John Hebert.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral home on Sunday, May 11 from 5-7 p.m. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with Father Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Robert Beauparlant at Resurrection Church on Monday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mark McQuesten presiding. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery with Military Honors by the Military 20 Year Club.
