Robert Clyde Bammert

FLUSHING, MI. – Robert Clyde Bammert Age 84, of Flushing, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Bob was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and proud native of the copper country, Mr. Bammert was born February 2, 1930 in Ahmeek, Michigan the son of Albert and Ivy Bammert. He was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church. Bob was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Flint Chapter, Monsignor Dunigan Council 695. He served as a Lieutenant in the Michigan National Guard. Bob graduated from Michigan Tech with a Civil Engineering Degree. He was a Registered Professional Engineer and owned Flint Road Builders before he retired.

Surviving are his wife Carmen Bammert; children, Robert M. Bammert, James L. Bammert, Thomas E. and wife Susan Bammert, David A. and wife Lynnette Bammert, Mary M. and husband Ronald Lints, Judith B. and husband Craig Adams, Gary F. and wife Traci Bammert; 18 grandchildren; brother, Albert (Les) Bammert.

Mr. Bammert was preceded in death by his brother, Laurence Bammert.

Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reigle Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by a Knights of Columbus service.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Robert Catholic Church. Father Roy Horning will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
