VAST employees, Clickner get new certifications
MARQUETTE?- VAST employees Kerry Hongisto and Katrina Mattila, both of Marquette, have obtained their designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative after successful completion of five one-day courses covering all areas of insurance risk and exposures followed by extensive examinations.
The CISR Program, available to insurance professionals in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, is distinguished from other programs of its kind by an annual continuing education requirement, which ensures that designees stay current on the important policy changes and trends within the industry.
The pair are commended on their dedication to professionalism as evidenced by the completion of the CISR designation and their commitment to continuing education.
Amy Clickner, CEO of the Lake Superior Community Partnership, has been awarded re-certification as a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council. Clickner first achieved the CEcD designation in 2010. CEcD recertification is required every three years and entails extensive continuing education and dedicated service to the profession.
The designation of Certified Economic Developer is a highly distinguished national recognition that denotes a mastery of principle skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to professional growth.
Clickner first earned certification by passing a rigorous three-part, two-day examination, testing her knowledge, proficiency and judgment in the key areas of economic development.
As highly skilled economic development practitioners, Clickner and 1,150 other Certified Economic Developers worldwide work with public officials, business leaders and community members to create and retain high-quality jobs, establish economic vibrancy and improve quality of life for the people they serve. Clickner also serves on the board of directors of the IEDC.
