Robert Gene ‘Bob’ Curry
LANSING, MI. – Robert Gene “Bob” Curry, age 83, loving husband and friend passed away April 21, 2014 in Lansing, Michigan.
Bob was born April 11, 1931 in Trout Creek, Michigan, the son of D.J. and Juanita Curry. Raised in the Upper Peninsula, he spent most of his life in Marquette and graduated from Graveraet High School.
Bob served four years in the U.S. Navy, mostly in Kodiak, Alaska and Alameda, CA. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Geology degree, and worked for the State of Michigan with the Department of Transportation, Natural Resources and Environmental Quality, retiring in 1990. Bob was an active member of the Capital Area Sportsmen’s League, a gourmet cook, a world traveler, gardener, hunter, and fisherman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Georgia E. (Anderson) Curry and many dear friends.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 29, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Ben Bohnsack will officiate and interment will be made in the Park Cemetery.
