The Mining Journal asks readers for input

MARQUETTE – A new survey posted on The Mining Journal’s website will allow readers to offer feedback on the newspaper’s biggest special section of the year.

The Progress Edition is an annual insert the newspaper offers its readers in March. It highlights the positive progress made in the area on a number of different topics, from education to business to tourism.

“The Progress Edition is a once a year update on the positive things that happen in our community. It is the largest edition and most labor intensive editorial project we do all year,” said Mining Journal Publisher Jim Reevs. “We are using a new tool in Survey Monkey to get some feedback from our readers on the annual Progress edition. We hope our readers will take the time to complete the quick survey so we can make the Progress Edition even better next year.”

The new seven-question survey, hosted by Survey Monkey, will ask readers to share their opinions on the section and will also allow them to offer input on what they’d like to see in next year’s Progress Edition.

“The Michigan Press Association has recognized the Progress Edition as one of the best special editions in the state in past competitions,” Reevs said. “This positive recognition not only reflects well on The Mining Journal, but it also reflects very well on all the businesses that are featured or advertised in the section.”
