‘The Walking Debt’ finance lecture
MARQUETTE – The next Your Wealth lecture titled “The Walking Debt: Don’t Become a Financial Zombie,” will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building at Northern Michigan University.
Rich Tegge, president and founder of Wealth Strategy Group, and Tawni Ferrarini, economist and Sam M. Cohodas Professor at NMU, will present the program. NMU students who graduated in 2011, on average, had accumulated $29,000 in student loans, according to the Institute for College Access and Success. Included in questions answered will be what is college debt?, how does it differ from other types of debt? and is it strategic to take on debt while in college?
