Nolan leads Wilderness at NIT

NEGAUNEE – Tom Nolan scored 23 points to lead Wilderness Recovery of Munising to a 58-34 victory over Tino’s TurnKeys of Negaunee in a Class E game at the Negaunee Invitational Tournament held at Lakeview Memorial Gymnasium on Friday evening.

Pat Godfrey added 17 points to the winning cause, while Wil Wickstrom had 14 for Tino’s.

Ryan Lusardi scored 16 points and Austin S. Kowick had 10 for Tune Squad of Negaunee in a 48-43 victory over Ore Dock of Marquette in another Class E game. Gerald Burson scored 16 points for Ore Dock.

In Class EE, Creative Industries of Negaunee won by forfeit over Casa Calabria of Marquette.

Today’s seven-game schedule of Class DD, EE and E games begins at 11:15 a.m. when Meyer Family Vision of Republic faces Skip’s Auto of Eben in Class EE. The final game is set to tip off at 6:45 p.m.
