Reading Day at Westwood Mall

MARQUETTE – The Marquette-Alger Reading Council and the libraries in Marquette and Alger Counties will have a Reading Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Westwood Mall, Marquette.

Part of the mall will be transformed into a reading area for children, with visits from storybook characters and Northern Michigan University education students. Each child will receive a new book to take home.

Information will also be available to learn about library services, such as downloading free audio books and magazines, renewing books from home, and requesting reading materials from anywhere in the state.

Find out about puppet shows, movies, storytelling, family literacy programs, concerts, and more budget friendly fun at your library. Local libraries will display information about their hours, service areas, and special collections. For more information, call 226-4318.
