Negaunee falls in Class C state semifinals to Detroit Consortium

EAST LANSING – The Negaunee High School boys basketball team had its season come to an end Thursday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing for the second year in a row, falling to Detroit Consortium 69-54 on the campus of Michigan State.

The Miners, who finish the season 24-2, were led by Jay Lori in scoring. He finished with 14 points. Tyler Jandron has 12 points. Eric Lori scored 11.

Detroit Consortium, which improved to 24-2, will face Pewamo-Westphalia on Saturday for the state title.
