Meth lab suspect identified
ISHPEMING – The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed the details of last week’s raid on an Ishpeming house suspected of operating a methamphetamine lab and is moving forward with charges.
Jennifer Helen Marietti, 27, was arraigned in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday on two charges of operating/maintaining a meth lab.
Marietti was taken into custody Thursday after Ishpeming police, with help from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, executed a search warrant on a residence on the 100 block of Summit Street in Ishpeming. Police said they found two “one pot” meth cooks and other components in the home.
Marietti’s bond has been set at 10 percent of $50,000 on each count. Her preliminary exam is scheduled for March 25 at 10 a.m. in Ishpeming District Court.
If convicted, Marietti could face up to 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
