Lamere leads two bowling tournament divisions
ISHPEMING – Wayne Lamere is the lone bowler to have the lead in more than one category after the first weekend of the Senior Division Tournament being held by the Marquette County U.S. Bowling Congress Assoication.
The tourney is being held at Red Rock Lanes in Ishpeming. The first weekend was held in mid-February with the only other weekend to be March 22-23.
Lamere has a 2,030 count in all-events, which combines handicap scores from singles, doubles and team events. He rolled an actual score of 602 in team, 583 in doubles and 572 in singles to go with a total of 273 pins handicap.
That team score helped he and two others take over the team lead with 2,058, which includes 1,772 actual. His teammates are Glenn Hintsala and Robert Wood.
Cliff Mattson leads singles with 753, which includes 594 actual, while Steve Swentik and Mike Trickey are atop doubles with 1,443, including 1,217 actual.
The trio of Cis Dompierre, Barb Roberts and Mary Grobar is in second place in team with 2,008, including 1,296 actual.
Mattson and Rollie Swanson are in second place in doubles with 1,293, which includes 994 actual.
In singles, Swanson is second with 726, 586 actual, while Donald Mattson is third with 721, 597 actual.
