Edward James Belmore
RIO RANCHO, NM. – Edward James Belmore our “gentle spirit”, 54 of Rio Rancho entered the eternal kingdom surrounded by the love of his wife, family, and Pastor Michael Bastian on Monday, February 24th, 2014. While Malaya his 3yr old great niece was singing “You are my Sunshine” Ed left us with the most peace filled memory of his life and death.
He is preceded in death and was loved very much by his father in-law Lyle Peterson of Santa Fe NM, his grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Belmore, Harry, Vi, and Thelma Thompson, sister Kimberly Barry, and special friends Charlie Holcomb and Tim Hurley.
Ed is survived by his forever loving wife Stephanie, parents Edward and Phyllis Belmore from Gwinn MI; Patricia and Dennis Thompson Ford from Ellendale ND; his mother in law Nina and Ted Peterson-Osborn from Shelby MI, his brother Tim and Jennifer Belmore of Ellendale ND, brother Clark and sisters Laura Taube, Beverly, Cheryl, Sandra Belmore; Aunt Mary Manning; Judy Huillier, of Marquette MI. Ed had an amazingly supportive and loving presence of his New Mexico family that supported him for over 31 years. We appreciate and love our brother Scott and Steve Peterson, and sister in-law Shari Dekker, North Muskegon MI, and best friend Sally Woods, Spring Lake MI. Thank you to long time friend and caretaker Abby Jaramillo~ his earthly angel. Thank you to the Trinkaus and Lentkoop families for their unending love and presence all of these days. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and great nieces, nephews, as well as his special god child Marissa Peterson. We thank the many special friends and caretakers that have shared our life journey. ~ James 1:17 The celebration of Love and Light of Edward’s life was held on Monday March 3rd 2014 at Community of Joy Lutheran Church in Rio Rancho. The internment was held on March 4th with family.
