Second Sunday Folk Dance set

CRYSTAL FALLS – The Second Sunday Folk Dance will present Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys, the heralded bluegrass band fronted by acclaimed vocalist Lindsay Lou Rilko at 4 p.m. CST. Sunday at Fortune Lake Camp, Crystal Falls.

Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys are described as eclectic bluegrass from the heart of America’s Third Coast.

Hailing from all corners of the Great Lakes State of Michigan, Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys are giving a nod to American traditional music, while boldly taking their own songs in new directions.

White Water (Dean and Bette Premo) will open the event with a short concert and will be joined by Carrie, Emma, and Susan Dlutkowski. A folk dance follows the concert with music by The Front Parlor Dance Band.

Admission is $7 for adults, and children ages 15 and under are free.

An Old-time Music Jam Session lead by fiddler Bob Arthur will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the dining hall.
