Pauline F. Kevern

ISHPEMING, MI. – Pauline F. Kevern, age 94 formerly of 762 Juniper St. Ishpeming passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.

Pauline was born April 13, 1919 in Ishpeming to George & Amelia (Talot) Mosca. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1936. She worked as a seamstress for many years for the H.W. Gossard Company.

Pauline was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she volunteered serving at funeral luncheons.

She also volunteered for 25 years at the Bell Hospital Gift Shop. Pauline was a wonderful knitter, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards with the neighborhood card club.

Pauline is survived by 2 sons: Thomas (Lorraine) Kevern of Gwinn and James Kevern and special friend Bob Oelke of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a brother Joe Mosca of Charlotte, NC, 3 grandchildren: Wayne (Kimberly) Kevern of Gwinn, Lori (Quentin) McRoberts of Lodi, WI, Steven (Dona) Kevern of Gwinn, 6 great grandchildren: Nicole (Bryce) Hattamer, Wyatt Kevern, Eric McRoberts, Danielle McRoberts, Zackery Kevern and Korianna Kevern, 2 great grandchildren: Mason McRoberts and Hazel Kevern along with nieces and nephews.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Kevern and a brother Vincent Mosca.

Pauline’s family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30-11:00 am on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday with Fr. Greg Heikkala as celebrant. A luncheon will be held at the K/D Hall following the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Pauline’s great grandchildren. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
