ISHPEMING, MI. – Agnes Denyson (nee Baillie), entered eternal life peacefully on January 25, 2014 in Ishpeming, Michigan at the home of her daughter. Better known as Nancy or Nan, she had resided in Ishpeming with her daughter since 2010.
Nancy was born November 24, 1916 in Haddington, Scotland to Richard and Elizabeth (nee Forrest) Baillie. She came to America as the loving wife of a WWII GI, John D. Booth. They made their home in Lake City, Michigan until 1964 when they moved with their daughter Andrea to Crystal Beach, Florida.
Nancy loved music and playing the piano, tending her gardens, creating artwork; especially painting, but most of all she loved her family. After the death of her first husband she married Jack Denyson. They spent many happy years together, enjoying the Crystal Beach community, entertaining family and friends, and traveling.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Andrea (Tom) Booth of Ishpeming, MI; Granddaughters Sarah (Mike) Elliott of Ishpeming, MI and Emily (Corey) Bennett of Milwaukee, WI; one Grandson Clay (Brianna) Booth of Ishpeming, MI, one Great-Grandson, Noah Bennett, two Great-Granddaughters, Isabella and Addison Elliott, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Negaunee, Michigan on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2pm with Pastor Randy Reed officiating. Friends of the family are welcome to attend. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater, Florida at a later date.
