TriMedia Squirt AA wins Face-off Classic

MARQUETTE – Evan Kroll scored an unassisted goal with 38 seconds left in overtime to give the TriMedia Squirt AA Sentinels a 3-2 win over the Crystal Lake Yellowjackets in the championship game of the Face-Off Classic hockey tournament in DePere, Wis., the weekend of Jan. 18-19.

Jack Burzynski and Tommy Blemberg notched the other Marquette goals, with Blemberg recording an assist.

Sentinels goaltender Liam Beerman made 26 saves.

Tri-Media also defeated Arrowhead, 6-1, behind three goals by Caden Bouws. Blemberg, Ansel Frost and Kroll also notched markers for the winners.

Collecting assists were Burzynski (2), Frost and Kroll.

Marquette netminder Zane Phillips made 17 stops.

The Sentinels opened the tourney with a 2-1 win over the Baldwin Blackhawks.

Jack Sides and Brayden Grange scored the goals; drawing helpers were Burzynski and Chase Seger.

Beerman turned aside 13 shots on net.

The Sentinels are coached by Tim Blemberg, with Jerry Sides, Jeff Seger and Matt Anderson assisting.
