Marquette Figure Skating Club competes in Fox Cities
The Marquette Figure Skating Club recently competed at the Fox Cities Skating Competition in Appleton, Wis. The team took 10th in overall points out of 21 teams. Jasmine Burke and Claire Belkowski were among 12 skaters out of 65 awarded with an artistic recall to perform their routine again. Included in competitors were: Front row from left, Emily Helgren, second high beginner free skate and second beginner artistic; Dorothy Petersen, fifth beginner artistic; and back row from left, Sydney Rehmann, second pre preliminary free skate and fourth pre-preliminary artistic; Jasmine Burke, first pre-preliminary free skate and first pre preliminary artistic; Emily Johnson, fifth pre preliminary artistic and fourth pre preliminary free skate; Claire Belkowski, second preliminary free skate and second preliminary artistic; Faith Perala, fourth preliminary artistic and third preliminary free skate; and Jayne Petersen, fourth high beginner free skate. Missing from photo is skater Nora Gaffney who placed 7th in Freestyle. The Marquette Figure Skating club is coached by Jamie Weigold, Chris Gauthier and Shirra Sinneave.
