Prep hockey: Negaunee falls 4-1 at home to Jeffers

NEGAUNEE – Unable to muster much in the way of offense, the Negaunee High School hockey team fell to visiting Jeffers Thursday night, 4-1, in a non-league contest.

“We had a good effort all around,” NHS head coach Darrell Sleeman said, “but we were unable to score.

“It’s just a lack of offense, again. We just couldn’t find the net again.”

The Miners (5-12), got a goal from Tony Gravedoni in the third period, assisted by Mike Farley and Jacob Paquet. But by that time, Jeffers had posted a 3-0 lead.

Tyler Bailey scored twice for the Jets. Anthony Harris assisted on all four Jeffers goals.

NHS netminder Anthony Moyle made 24 saves; Jeffers goaltender came up with 15 stops.
