MAPS holds first 2014 meeting Monday

MARQUETTE – The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education will hold its first meeting of the year Monday to elect officers and conduct other reorganizational business.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. inside the Marquette Senior High School Library.

The board will also hear an update from interim superintendent Bill Saunders on strategic planning, a timeline in formulating next school year’s budget and will recognize Superior Hills Elementary School principal Mike Woodard for being named the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association’s “Region 14 Principal of the Year.”
