BLP office staff supports UPAWS

Each year, office personnel at the Marquette Board of Light and Power make a donation to a local charity for the opportunity to wear jeans on Fridays. This year, the group chose to donate to the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter, with a $300 check presented recently to UPAWS manager Lareina Vanstrein. Shown at the presentation are: front row from left, Juliana Maki, Vanstrein, Mary Adamini holding 9-year-old Buddy, who was adopted by her family this summer from UPAWS and Patty Ryan; and back row, from left, Paul Kitti, Matt Zavislak, Tanya Laurin, David Lynch and Helen LaFayette. Others who contributed but are not pictured are Sheri Suckow, Noreen Collins, Toby Smith and Erik Booth.
