Help sought in finding hit-and-run vehicle

MARQUETTE – Marquette city police are asking for assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run property damage accident Monday afternoon on Presque Isle Avenue.

Police said the crash was reported at 12:04 p.m. and occurred at the intersection of Presque Isle Avenue and Norwood Street. The suspect vehicle – which was described as a dark blue Chevrolet or GMC full-sized sport utility vehicle or truck – hit another vehicle while attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Norwood Street from Presque Isle Avenue, police said in a news release.

Police said substantial damage was caused to the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. Police said the vehicle being sought will have damage to the driver’s side headlight area. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Norwood Street.
