FMMS eighth-graders assist local organizations

The Father Marquette Middle School eighth grade class recently made a donation to Laurie Schmit,middle, representing the local St. Vincent de Paul charity. The class raised a total of $1,932.72 for four charities: St. Vincent de Paul, The Care Clinic, Catholic Social Services and Room at the Inn.The eighth grade students raised the funds in a service project called “Project Sawbuck.” Some of the activities the students participated in were yard work, bake sales, after school snack sales, craft sales, house work/cleaning and baby sitting.
