Beaudry, Garrow to be sentenced in death case
MARQUETTE – Sentencing for two men charged in connection with a Marquette man found dead on his porch in October is set for Jan. 6.
Jordan Joseph Beaudry, 19, and Christopher John Garrow, 17, both of Marquette, pleaded guilty this week in 96th District Court on one-year misdemeanor charges of failing to report the discovery of a dead body.
A felony charge of concealing the death of an individual against both men was dropped.
A Marquette City Police Department investigation revealed both men were in the company of Kyle Dowling, 22, on the night of his death.
Dowling was found on the porch of his Lynn Street house Oct. 1.
Police said Beaudry and Garrow failed to summon medical assistance for Dowling, who was in obvious medical distress, and failed to report his death to the authorities.
