Prep football: MHSAA postseason selection show airs Oct. 27

EAST LANSING – Many area high school football fans will be closely watching their televisions on Sunday night, Oct. 27.

That’s when the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Selection Sunday Show will be aired showing what teams have made the playoffs and where and who they will play in the early rounds.

The hour-long show begins a process that will end for 18 teams at the state finals, 16 of them traveling to Ford Field in Detroit for two days just after Thanksgiving.

The other two teams will play in the eight-player final at a site to be determined a weekend earlier. In that 16-team field among 27 programs in the state eligible for the playoffs, Superior Central (2-3) sits in 15th place with 17.8 playoff points.
