To the Journal editor:
It is my opinion that Jackie Winkowski of Wolfwatcher has finally let the cat out of the bag.
In her latest letter, she has attempted to find a parallel between the hunting of two migratory birds, (doves and sandhill cranes) that are game species in other states to the hunting of wolves, (a top-of-the-food-chain carnivore) in a confined area that is in the Upper Peninsula.
I view this as a exposure of an anti -hunting agenda rather than any concern for the welfare of the wolf.
This in fact has been my suspicion for quite awhile as many letters, especially out of state ones, have contained many inaccuracies/irrelevancies to our circumstances/location.
This whole campaign is not about the wolf.
