Presidential search on agenda

MARQUETTE – Discussion on a presidential search is on the agenda for Friday’s meeting of the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees.

The meeting begins at 8 a.m. in the Wildcat Room of the Berry Events Center.

After appointing former political science professor and long-time NMU lobbyist David Haynes to a three-term as interim president in 2012, the board said it would begin a presidential search upon completion of Haynes’ first year.

In its previous meeting, the board had discussed beginning the search but had little to report.

The board will also hold committee meetings this afternoon.
