NMU public TV station to go off air for 4 hours Friday

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University’s public television station, WNMU-TV 13, will be off the air waves for four hours Friday as crews work to update equipment.

Eric Smith, NMU director of broadcasting and AV services, said the work was originally scheduled to take place next week, but construction conflicts forced the work back to Friday.

The station will be shut down from 10 a.m. until about 2 p.m., Smith said.

Only those people who have satellite or antenna television service will be affected.

Those who use Charter Communications will not have their service interrupted.
