Fall Flicks hosts ‘The Impossible’

Fall Flicks hosts a screening of “The Impossible” at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.

Maria, Henry and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria, played by Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her. This film is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. The film is rated PG-13 and runs for 114 minutes, and Fall Flicks invites the public to bring their own takeout supper. For more information, call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
