Steven Milton ‘Leifer’ Ericson

MARQUETTE, MI. – Steven Milton “Leifer” Ericson, age 57, lifelong Marquette resident, entered eternal life Wednesday, August 21, 2013.

Steve was born in Marquette, a son of Milton Henry and Sarah Elaine (Jacobs) Ericson. A 1974 graduate of the Marquette Senior High School, Leifer was employed as an engineer with the Lake Superior and Ishpeming Railroad. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed the outdoors whether spending time at his camp on the Little Garlic or being out with his beloved canine campanions, Bumper and Marley.

Leifer is survived by his two daughters, Amber Ericson of Marquette and Brandie Ericson of Duluth, MN; his sister, Sharon (Pat) Fluette of Marquette; two nephews, Garret (Danielle) Guidebeck of Ishpeming and Adam Guidebeck of Marquette; many cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honoring Leifer’s request, no public services will be held.
