MARQUETTE, MI. – Corrine Reffruschinni, age 44, of Marquette, entered eternal life Friday, August 16, 2013 at Marquette General Hospital.
Born December 14, 1968 to Gary and Sharon (Douville) Roy, Corrine was raised in Marquette and graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 1987. After high school, Corrine began working for the Norlite Nursing Center as an administrative assistant. She held several other clerical positions over the years, most recently being employed at Marquette General Hospital. She was married to David Reffruschinni in 1996. Corrine was described by her family as an awesome cook who made the best wet burrito. She didn’t follow recipes because they were all in her head, but her meals always came out delicious. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughters, Tanya and Megan, as well as her treasured grandson, Dominic.
Corrine is survived by her husband, David Reffruschinni; daughters, Megan Reffruschinni and Tanya Reffruschinni; a grandson, Dominic Maki; her parents, Gary and Sharon Roy; her sisters, Kelly Kurian (Russ Hurkmans Jr) and Cathy (David) Van Pay; her nieces, Lilly Kurian, Zoe Kurian, Allie Van Pay; a nephew, Cole Van Pay; aunts, Susan (Dean) Krueger, Carol (Paul) Beaudry, and Jan Roy; uncles, Wayne (Jan) Douville, Tom (Karen) Roy, and Bob Douville; and her special furry companion, Julio the cat.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gordon and Dorothy Douville and Norman and Florence Roy; mother-in-law, Rose Pleaugh; and uncle, Norman H. Roy.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. Rev. Leon Jarvis will preside. Family and friends will gather at the American Legion for refreshments following the service.
