Anderson wins Elks Essay Contest

Connor Anderson, son of Luke and Kristin Anderson of Negaunee, receives the first place award for winning the Michigan Elks “State Americanism Essay Contest award from Negaunee Elks Lodge 116 past exalted ruler Michael Ilmonen. His essay, titled “What the National Anthem Means To Me,” was chosen the winner from the fifth- and sixth-grade essays submitted from across the state. Anderson will be a seventh-grader at Negaunee Middle School this fall.
