Bridget Lynn Brock
KINGSFORD, Mich. – Bridget Lynn Brock, 12, of Kingsford, passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at The Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family after a lifelong courageous battle with a complex chronic medical illness.
She was born on August 8, 2000 in Marquette, Michigan daughter of Scott and Laura (Heyrman) Brock. She and her family are members of Our Saviours Lutheran Church. Bridget enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, singing and listening to music.
She has donated her hair to “Locks of Love” three times over the years, putting others ahead of herself while dealing with her own struggles. More than anything she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her two brothers.
Bridget is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Laura Brock of Kingsford; brothers Nicholas and Kent Brock of Kingsford; grandparents Ed and Barbara Heyrman, Chum and Phyllis Brock, Barry and Diane Hoover, great grandfather Jess Leffel, and great grandmother Wilma Fryman all of Munising; she is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Lee and Rev. Lori Liverance will officiate.
