Rosalee M. Ogea

ISHPEMING, MI. – Rosalee M. Ogea, age 78, of 314 S. Lake St. Ishpeming, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 21, 2013 at the Marquette General Hospital.

Rosalee was born February 10, 1935 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Sicotte) Nault.

She married Charles Leo Ogea on Nov. 29, 1953 in Ishpeming, where they established their home and raised their children. Rosalee spent most of her life in Ishpeming but also lived for a period of time with her daughter Zita in Indiana.

Rosalee was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events throughout her lifetime. Rosalee enjoyed a good game of cribbage and recently joined the Ishpeming Elks Club where she played in the cribbage league. She also would spend time at the Negaunee Senior Center playing cards and BINGO.

Rosalee had a kind heart and would often bake for and visit the elderly at area nursing homes.

Survivors include Eleven children; her daughters, Jackie (Herbert) Weston of Vista, CA, Rosanne Bert of Ishpeming, Mary Baker of Ann Arbor, Madonna (Gary) Bullock of Sterling Heights, Zita Kramer of Muncie, IN, Dore (Geoff) Flint of Marquette; her sons, Pierre (Lois) Ogea of Marquette, Francis(girlfriend Brook) Ogea of Ishpeming, Rory (Michelle) Ogea of Naperville, IL, Myles (Liz) Ogea of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Clifton (Margaret) Ogea of Arlington, VA; 27 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Leo Ogea on July 14, 2008, 3 children; a son Charles and two infant daughters Judy and Joanie, along with a sister Florence Polkki Peterson and three brothers Charles, Edward and Bernard Nault.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:30am 11:00am on Wednesday, July 24, 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00am on Wednesday with the Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate.

Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the Funeral Mass in the K-D Hall at St. John’s Church.
